Travelling by abra boats in Dubai

Posted 1 year ago by rohn in response to carl's question: How can I travel around Dubai? Are there any means of public transport or I can only take a taxi? (give a different answer) .

You can travel around Dubai by motorboats called "abras" that cross the Creek from early morning until around midnight. They have two abras routes; one links Bur Dubai Abra Station with the Deira Old Souq Abra Station and the other connects Dubai Old Souq Abra Station with the Sabakha Abra Station. Abras leave with 20 passengers - it fills up in a few minutes- and the fare is only 50 fils (which is a half of 1Dh).
