If you wish to take a day trip out of Dubai you should rent a car from the reliable large international agencies which do not charge an excess in the case of an accident and will deliver the car to you. You will need a credit card and prices start at about 130Dh per day with another 20Dh to 25Dh insurance. Go to the agencies located at the airport arrivals hall: Avis or Budget, Europcar or Hertz or at Diamondlease at Sahara Towers on Sheikh Zayed Rd.
