Visiting Abu-Dhabi, 150 km southwest of Dubai

Posted 1 year ago by rohn in response to michele's question: What is to see outside Dubai? Any interesting places with a more Arab cultural feel? (give a different answer) .

You should go to Abu Dhabi which is a green city with a more traditional feeling. While Dubai is more tourism and business oriented, Abu Dhabi is focused on family, heritage and culture. Worth visiting is Abu Dhabi Cultural Foundation where you can see live art performances, the Al-Hosn fort, the Corniche -a great place for walking, cycling or jogging and the interesting Iranian souq down by the port is opened in the evening. To get to Abu-Dhabi take a minibus from Bur Dubai station. The trip costs 30Dh and lasts for 90 min. To return to Dubai catch a share taxi and you’ll pay about 30Dh.
