You should head for Dubai International Marine Club which holds boating events (except in the summer months). The Class One World Powerboat Championship takes place here in December. You’ll see the boats reaching 255km/hour, and Dubai’s Victory team is always in the competition. There are also wooden boats races that take place every weekend from October to May. You should check ahead for the exact dates of the events (www.dimc-uae.com). The location of the club is Al-Sufouh Rd at Le Meidien Mina Seyahi. Admission is free.
