Head for the the covered Spice Souq, known also as Old Souq. It is a tiny aromatic market located around Btwn Baniyas Rd, Al Sabkha Rd and Al-Abra St Deira. You will literally follow your nose to get there. The place is brimming with herbs, spices, dried lemons and chillies and much much more. I remember I bought lots of useful stuff like incense burners, saffron and rose water.
