The Grand Mosque has the tallest minaret in Dubai. It was built in 1990 on the place where the Old Grand Mosque stood once. This mosque it is the centre of Dubai's religious and cultural life and was also a kuttab school, where children learned to recite from Quran. The mosque is located on Ali Bin Talib St, in Bur Dubai old quarter, opposite Dubai Museum.
