Jumeirah Archaeological Site in Dubai

Posted 1 year ago by avatar eduardo in response to avatar lizette's question: I'm interested in Persian culture, is there an Archaeological museum/site I can visit in Dubai? (give a different answer) .

The Jumeirah Archaeological Site is the largest of this kind in the UAE. There have been found here items from the 6th century AD and have been collected by Dubai Museum or the Heritage Village. The site was once a caravan stop linking (the now) Iraq to Oman. This site is a monument of the Persian Sassanid Empire's remains which ruled the region from 3rd to 6th century AD.
