In my opinion, the only authentic Mexican restaurant in Dubai is Maria Bonita’s Taco Shop on Umm al-Sheif St at Umm Suqeim. It offers an authentic Mexican menu with tasty dishes such as tortilla soup, cheese quesadillas and queso fundido. There is also the “Morning after Platter”, a cure to hangover- it really wakes you up. Mains are cheap, about 20Dh, but, as it is unlicensed, I’m not sure you won’t find any hair in the food. It is opened from 7.30 am to 8 pm.
