not necesairly!:) there are several posibilities for you and the prices vary between Dh125 and Dh130 for a single room, which is quite convenient. I recommend you Hotel Florida, next to the Al-Sabkha bus station in Deira. The rooms, though small, are clean and have more amenities than you would expect for the price of Dh130.
